Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted multiple rescues over the past weekend.
According to YCSO, early Friday morning a Prescott woman rolled her truck several times through the snow, off of Williamson Valley Road. The woman was trapped in the cab, and responding deputies applied a tourniquet to her injured leg and provided support until fire and medical personnel arrived. Crews had to extricate the patient, and she was then flown to a Phoenix hospital for treatment.
On Friday night, an elderly Cottonwood couple got stuck in the snow on a remote and rough road off of Senator Highway, on their way to Crown King. Family members became concerned for the couple, and notified YCSO. After searching the main and side roads, rescuers located the couple and took them to their family in Crown King.
And on Saturday, a hunter in the far southwestern corner of the county called 911 after his companion had a seizure while on a remote mountain peak. A YCSO deputy hiked to the location and was able to guide a medical helicopter in. As a medic was lowered to the ground, the patient’s condition began improving; and he was flown to a hospital in Phoenix.
