Prescribed Pile Burns Scheduled

Prescribed pile burning is set to take place from April 22 to May 31 in the Prescott Basin area by the Bradshaw Ranger District, as part of an effort to reduce hazardous fuels and improve forest health. Ignitions are scheduled to begin on April 22, with operations continuing through May 31, given favorable conditions. Smoke may be visible and linger in various areas, and visitors are urged to heed safety signs and exercise caution near burns. Updates and alerts on the burns will be shared on the Prescott National Forest’s social media.
