Spring Valley man sentenced to 18 years in prison for 2021 knife attack

A Yavapai County Superior Court Judge has sentenced a Spring Valley man to 18 years in prison, for an August 2021 knife attack.


James Robert Patton was convicted of charges including Attempted Second-Degree Murder in January, based on the victim’s testimony and evidence including clothing that contained blood from both Patton and the victim.


Patton was also convicted of Aggravated Assault and Burglary.
