Prescott National Forest crews will conduct two prescribed broadcast burns in the Agua Fria area this week.

The two units mainly consist of grass fuels over 2,000 acres on the east side of I-17, between State Route 169 and Dugas Road. Ignitions will begin Thursday, and continue through Friday, pending favorable conditions.

Smoke should be light throughout the ignition period, then quickly dissipate; but it will be visible from the Interstate, Highways 69 and 169, and the communities of Dewey-Humboldt and Cordes Junction.
