The Prescott Valley Police Department will host a free car seat installation check this coming Saturday, at the Park Collective on Pav Way from 9:00am to noon, to help parents and caregivers make sure their child’s car seat is keeping them as safe as possible.

Officials remind caregivers that bulky winter coats can prevent car seat harness straps from getting tight enough to protect a child in the event of a crash. You should remove coats before buckling the child in, then place a coat or blanket over the straps.
