Prescott NF to conduct prescribed burns throughout February

February 1, 2024

Fire managers for the Prescott National Forest have planned prescribed burns in multiple locations across the Bradshaw Ranger District throughout the month of February.

They will be burning debris piles created during thinning and fuelwood removal operations in and around the Prescott Basin. The Forest will post specific location details on their Facebook and Twitter accounts when ignitions take place; and officials expect light smoke impacts in the Prescott and Chino Valley areas.

As always, burn operations are dependent on available personnel and favorable conditions.
