State Forestry crews will conduct a prescribed pile burn at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood this coming Tuesday, February 27th.

The project will consume piles of debris left over from fuels reduction efforts, across about ten acres. Crews will begin ignitions around 9:00 a.m., and expect to be finished by the early afternoon.

Smoke may be highly visible in the greater Cottonwood area, but any impacts should be minimal and short in duration. The Park will remain open to visitors during the burns.
