A Paulden man faces possible life in prison, after he was found guilty of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on February 16th.
The County Attorney’s Office says that in June of 2022, 56-year-old James Byrn Siegfried confronted two people as part of a road rage incident in Paulden. He reportedly followed the other involved vehicle, and when they stopped, he pointed a loaded gun at the occupants.
The victims drove away and called 911, and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies later located and arrested Siegfried, finding a loaded handgun and a half-empty bottle of whiskey in his vehicle.
Siegfried’s sentencing will be in early April, and he faces a possible life sentence due to extensive prior felony convictions for violent crimes.
