NPS accepting applications for non-commercial Colorado River trips through Grand Canyon

February 5, 2024

The National Park Service has begun accepting applications for self-guided, noncommercial trips on the Colorado River, through the Grand Canyon, for 2025.

Each application will be placed in a weighted lottery for one of 482 permits, available for trips between 12 and 25 days. After the main lottery, follow-ups will be held to reassign launch dates, due to cancelled trips or other issues, as needed.

You can visit grcariverpermits.nps.gov for more information, or to apply; and the application deadline is noon on February 26th.
