Free yard waste disposal to be available to Yavapai, Coconino County residents

Yavapai County’s Public Works Department will hold their annual free slash drop-off program at County transfer stations, from April 1 through June 1.


Officials encourage residents to clear defensible space around your property; and they will accept brush, branches, and yard waste free of charge, during normal operating hours.


The City of Prescott will also offer free brush and vegetation drop off for their residential trash customers, at the Sundog Ranch Road transfer station, every Saturday from April 6 to May 4. Proof of residency will be required.


And Coconino County will reopen the Willard Springs Green Waste Site, 15 miles south of Flagstaff, for free slash disposal on April 5.The site will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through October 26.
