The National Park Service advises visitors to the Grand Canyon to expect a detour on the Rim Trail, around the Bright Angel Lodge, as work continues on the Transcanyon Waterline project.

The lodge itself will remain open. The Park also reminds visitors that icy sections remain on some roads and interior trails. They again advise hikers to use trekking poles, and traction devices on your shoes. Give others extra room, so that if one of you slips, they do not knock down the other. And be willing to turn around if conditions are unsafe.
