The City of Cottonwood is now accepting Nomination and Financial Disclosure paperwork from citizens running for the City Council and Mayoral seats up for re-election this year.

Prospective candidates must file a Statement of Interest with the City Clerk prior to circulating nomination petitions, with between 122 and 244 valid voter signatures required to appear on the July 30 Primary Election ballot. All paperwork must be submitted to the City Clerk by April 8.

The City and local Chamber of Commerce will host a Meet-and-Greet event for Council and Mayoral candidates next Wednesday, March 20.

Citizens can get to know and engage with candidates between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Community Club House on Main Street.
