Spring visitors to Grand Canyon should expect long lines, full parking lots

March 29, 2024

Grand Canyon National Park officials advise visitors to be prepared for long lines and full parking lots as the Spring Break season continues over the next several weeks.

From about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you should expect wait times of between one and two hours at the South Rim Entrance Station; with parking lots reaching capacity around noon, and longer shuttle bus wait times.

Park law enforcement does routinely patrol the areas near the Visitor Center and along Pipe Creek Overlook, with illegally parked vehicles towed as necessary.

Officials encourage visitors to come before 9:30 or after 4:30, or park at Tusayan and use the shuttle, or carpool.
