One dead, one injured after Chino Valley motorcycle crash

The Chino Valley Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred last Wednesday night.


According to police, officers were called to the area of Road 1 North and Belmont Way shortly before 11:30 p.m. and discovered that a westbound motorcycle had left the roadway and hit a tree. One of the riders, identified as 24-year-old Joshua Edwards, was pronounced deceased on-scene. The other, a 22-year-old Chino Valley man, was taken to local hospital.


Based on their initial investigation, police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
