Coconino County Board of Supervisors to hold public hearing on proposed increase to Base Expenditure Limitation

February 5, 2024

The Coconino County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing during their meeting Tuesday, for any taxpayer wishing to comment on a proposed resolution to permanently adjust the county’s Base Expenditure Limitation.

The limitation is an annually-adjusted rate based on population and statewide inflation; and County staff have recommended a 75% increase, to reflect higher inflation and cost of living in the County, compared to state averages. Raising the limitation would not increase taxes, but would change how the County is allowed to spend the revenue they are already collecting.

The meeting begins at 10:00am, and for a link to participate and more information, visit coconino.az.gov/1589.
