Chino Valley man arrested for alleged repeated trespassing at neighbor's home

A Chino Valley man was arrested twice within a few days, after allegedly trespassing repeatedly at his neighbor’s home.
According to police, officers responded to a trespass call on Del Rio Drive last Thursday, and learned the 37-year-old suspect had been knocking on his neighbor’s door and leaving notes since last November.
They formally trespassed him from the property, but the next day the victim’s home security system showed the suspect returning and trying to open the door. While being taken into custody, he reportedly hit a police officer in the face, but was subdued and arrested on trespassing and assault charges.
The suspect was released from custody on Saturday; then around 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning, the victim woke up to a noise in their house, and found the man in their living room.
The suspect fled; and law enforcement later determined he had left the area with his father, for Ash Fork. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies located their vehicle, and the suspect got out and ran, but was caught while trying to climb over a fence.
He was charged with Stalking and Burglary, among other offenses; and his father was charged with Hindering Prosecution, as police determined he knew law enforcement had been looking for his son.
