Alto Pit OHV Day Use Area and Campground closed for thinning operations

The Prescott National Forest has closed the Alto Pit OHV Day Use Area and Campground northwest of Prescott—along with associated trails—due to mechanical thinning operations.
The project will cover more than 40 acres of Forest land on the north side of Iron Springs Road, and will last about a month.
